Swiffer Carpet-Flick® — 

In theory, the Carpet Flick should have worked great.  In practice, not so much.  I needed to run it over the debris on the carpet repeatedly before it would pick it up, IF it picked it up at all.  The pad had to be changed twice just to do a small office floor.  I retired the Carpet Flick after only using it three times - it just didn't work well.
