Swiffer 360 Dusters Review

I absolutely love the new Swiffer 360 Duster!  It made cleaning my house so much easier than it used to be.  I bought the starter kit which includes a handle and disposable duster and it cost $2.50 at Target.

The Swiffer 360 Duster says that it "traps & locks up to 2 times more dust" than feather dusters.  It is also supposed to:

• Trap allergens
• Cleans dust in and around tight places
• Pick up household allergens from cats, dogs and dust mites

For your first use, you need to attach the handle to the duster until you hear a click, then you know it is in place.  The "dusting" part of the duster is a white and yellow fluffy material that is very soft and won't scratch any type of surface.  You can see white pieces of material popping out all over the yellow cottony fiber.  Together they are supposed to trap dust inside the duster.

The first thing I wanted to test this out on are my blinds.  I have wood blinds that are dust magnets and I wanted to see how well the Swiffer 360 Duster would work on them.  I was instantly impressed at how easily the duster moved in between the blinds and how it really did "trap" the dust inside.  Since it is a 360 duster, the blinds were cleaned on top and underneath.  It cleaned my blinds wonderfully. 

After the blinds, I wanted to test it's ability to "trap & lock" dust, so I used the now filthy duster and began dusting my furniture, electronics, bookshelf and anything else that I normally dust.  The Swiffer 360 Duster was amazing.  Even though it was dirty from dusting my blinds, it still dusted everything else without leaving a trail of dust behind.  It made cleaning electronics and the back of my TV area a breeze.

When you are finished dusting, pull off the dirty duster and throw it in the trash.  They sell disposable refills to attach to the handle that you keep from the starter kit.

I love the Swiffer 360 Duster!  I am definitely going to purchase the refills for this product.  I also like that by using this, although you are throwing the dusters away, it is better than spraying furniture polish which is probably worse for the environment.
