Most HelpfulI'm a crazy person who runs an animal rescue out of my home. At the moment we have 4 cats and 8 kittens in the house, including my own 3 cats. We give every cat litter that we use quite a workout. If it works well for us in this mad house, it will be wonderful for anyone with a resonable number...

Most HelpfulWe tried several types of all natural litter before we found one our cats finally liked - Swheat Scoop Natural Wheat Litter.
It's an all natural, bio-degradable litter so you don't have to worry about sending additional chemicals to the landfill. And you can even flush it if you want.
It clumps well and is good at eliminating odor.
And it's not only good for cats - they have litter available for other small animals.
This is the second best litter I have tried. The best was a product made from citrus peels that has been taken off the market. I like it because it is flushable, provided you follow the recommendations on the box. That is break up any extra large clumps and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes (the box says 20 minutes but I find that the clumps dissolve way before that).
As for oder control, it is better than clay litters and on a par with Feline Pine. My cats do not cover their poop, so the only thing that truly works is a litterbox with a door.
There is some tracking, but no more than with any...
read full review »Swheat Scoop is my #2 choice for an eco-friendly cat litter, with World's Best Cat Litter, (WBCL) being #1. Both are good, natural litters that clump.
However, I mostly use Swheat Scoop because one of my cats gets the WBCL on his rear end and then tracks it all over the house. He does not seem to have this problem with Swheat Scoop so that's what I use. You just have to wait awhile for it to clump (I wait at least 1/2 hour).
The other plus to Swheat Scoop over WBCL is that it is less expensive. I can usually get it at a good price at either Target or PetSmart.
My husband has severe allergies, and this is one of the rare shining stars that doesn't aggravate them. This litter has next to no dust, and no nasty fresh-from-the-package litter smell; it doesn't cause sneezing, nor get into the eyes and irritate. It also doesn't end up getting really foul-smelling after use either, and we have four cats! It's only slightly more expensive than standard scoop litters, and I'm willing to put down the two extra bucks to keep the sneezing out of the house.
