Swapstyle.com Review

I heard about this Swap Style on a local radio station and decided to try it out. So far I love it.

Here's how it works: You clean out your closet of all the clothing, shoes, accessories, and misc. household items you no longer want. You build a profile on the site (it's free) where you list all of your items and post pictures. These are your swaps. You also make a wish list of the things you are looking for.

When someone sees something of yours that they like they contact you and ask you if you want to swap. You go to their profile and look at their swaps. If you find something of theirs you want you simply write back to them and offer your item for their item. Once everyone agrees you exchange addresses and ship out your things. (It works the same if you find something of some else's you want. You would contact them.)

There are people out there trying to take your things just like everywhere else. Swap Style has created a "Swaplifter" list where they have the screen names of known offenders. You can always check out the person before you swap. Everyone can also leave feedback and tokens after a swap is finished so you can check those too.

The variety of things available is wonderful. There are designer bags, designer clothing, shoes, jewelry, kids clothing, books, makeup, hair products, things for the house, etc. Some people will also sell their items in case you have nothing to swap but really want their stuff.

So far I have done a few swaps since I am pretty new to the site but I have received lots of great stuff for items I was going to get rid of anyway. This site is a great way to change up your wardrobe without spending a ton of money and you can send your things away to someone who will use them instead of throwing them in the trash. Check out the site and you will probably be surprised at the great things people are looking to get rid of.
