Swan Calamine Lotion Review Summary

“There’s a reason it’s been around forever” says one reviewer about Swan Calamine Lotion. That reason is because it works. One woman who’s son got poison ivy on a hike reports that after using Swan Calamine Lotion “within hours his rash began drying and the itching decreased immensely.” Another woman who got a bad case of poison ivy while cleaning out an old barn reports “the relief was almost immediate”. One reviewer even recalls her mother using it on her when she was a child to relieve her chicken pox. Another advantage to this Calamine lotion is that “it’s cheap”. The only con that our reviewers complained of is that it retains its pink color after it is applied to the skin. Overall, however, this seems like a small price to pay for itch relief.

During a hike, my youngest son somehow got Poison Ivy on his face.  I took him to the doctor and he was prescribed medication and it cleared up quickly.  My oldest son ended up getting it too but, his was on his thighs and the doctor said there was no need to see him.  She… read full review »

This is an oldie but a goodie for poison ivy, and bug bites. If you can stand, or do nto mind having the pink stuff visible on the affected area, this will work, and works well for minor problems. If the poison ivy is bad enough, you may want to get your Dr to prescribe something for… read full review »

Several years ago, I've also been covered with Poison Ivy blisters. And not just one part of my body... what wouldn't be that bad in comparison... but my whole body. It happened, because I've been so eager to clean out our old barn in the country, that hasn't been touched for decades and had different types of weeds all over the place. I didn't know, that it was the Poison Ivy ( pure ignorance on my part, that's for sure). I didn't want to go to the doctor, because for that reason we would have to return home, to Dallas, and it would interrupt all our plans. Therefore, we had to… read full review »

Those limbs my husband was cutting down turned out to be posion ivy!  Who knew?  It's a good thing I had this product on hand.  Ever since my husband got chicken pox several years ago, I've kept calamine lotion handy.  This stuff is a lifesaver!  It soothes instantly, and keeps the itchiness at bay.  And it's cheap!  Been around forever too.  I remember my Mother putting it on me when I was a little girl with chicken pox too! — You can find this product EVERYWHERE.  It goes on pink, and stays pink.  That's the only con I can think… read full review »
