Suzuki Aerio - 2006 —

I bought my Suzuki at a low time in my life.  I was maxed out on filling up my Santa Fe, driving 250 miles a week, and hearing Al Gore in my ear EVERY DAY...so I went on a crusade.  I live in rural Pennsylvania, so I need a 4x4 or AWD.  Trust me, I've tried to make it the mile up my dirt road without one.  It ain't pretty.  Anyway, I test-drove the Aerio in 3-inch snow, and it went through it like an SUV.  I've made it the whole way through winter and didn't get stuck once.  My only issue is that the car has virtually no clearance.  I have to park a door-length away from the island to pump gas, walk to my mailbox, and slow down anytime there is something that may or may not be dead in the middle of the road...

Great gas mileage, though.  I get 26 mpg city, haven't done any heavy-duty highway driving yet, but I'll let you know when I do!

Overall, I love the car (although I have had some issues with protecting my coolness when people see me pulling up in it; it's ok, though.  I have brought the Aerio into the dark side with me) and I am happy with the smaller dent it puts in my wallet.
