Survivor Review Summary

After all these seasons, Survivor fans feels the show "hasn't lost a step." Hosted by Jeff Probst, this reality show strands a group of strangers in a deserted location, forcing them to learn to get along, then vote out one of their own each week. Reviewers like that there's "excitement in each episode" as they wonder what's going to happen next. Even though "watching them divide into teams by schoolyard pick brings back semi-painful memories of ... being the last one picked to be on a team," fans like to watch the "twists and turns" of Survivor, as "You think you know who will be the final people," then "something happens and you have no clue," due to executive producer Mark Burnett's (The Apprentice, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?) creative editing. Some report family time spent watching Survivor together. A surprising number of reviwers report they have "never missed a show."

Intro
Some think of Survivor as the granddaddy of all reality TV shows, and just finishing up its fourteenth season, it really hasn't lost a step throughout this time. I reluctantly turned it on halfway through the first season, tired of everyone else talking about it and wanting to at least get what...

On Survivor it would be entertaining in the sense that it was geared toward marturity and was actually believable.  But the way they do it now with just giving them the clothes on their back being street clothes is ridiculous.  I understand that if you actually had to go through that then you would... review »

I've been watching Survivor since the very first season, and year after year I can't wait for the next season.  There were a few seasons I skipped (Survivor overload!) after they showed way too many too close together.  However CBS seems to have a good timing scheme on these now and it is a must watch show!

Survivor throws around 16-20 contestants into the middle of a desserted area.  Whether it be an untouched island, or the middle of the African dessert, the scenery alone makes the show worth watching.  The most current season is in Samoa in the South Pacific and the opening shots are gorgeous....

I have watched Survivor since the first season and love it each year.  This year has been exceptally good.  The newest one of Fans vs Faves has started off with a bang.  There is gonna be romance, heartache, and lots of clashes.  There is excitment in each episode so far and it's like what's going to happen next.  I can't wait for the next episode.

I love this tv show. I have to watch it every week. Ive been watching Survivor since the very first one. I enjoy seeing how people work with eachother and against each other to see how far they can go. I always vote for the person who has been more honest with everyone else on the show.

Survivor is a completely entertaining program to watch without all the nonsense of many reality-tv shows.  There's plenty of drama, comedy, action/adventure and, sometimes, even romance.  A person can become very involved with the cast of contestants, urging some to get further in the game while hoping and praying, not always silently, for the most annoying ones to get voted off the show.  The funniest part of Survivor is the physical competitions, during which some of the players get hurt doing the clumsiest things.  It's interesting to see the most physically weak players outwit the strongest... review »

I have loved Survivor since it first aired.  I must say the only disappointment this year was when the jury had their time to question Todd, Courtney and Amanda.  I felt they really dropped the ball, it was boring.  I was glad that James won a $100,000.00.  I really did not like the fact that Denise tried to play a "feel sorry for me" card because she was just a lunch lady.  Somebody has to be a lunch lady, and thank you to all who are.  How would you like to be a grave digger, Denise?  Don't mean to be too harsh, I will be right there when a new season starts, you can count on that!!  ... review »

Survivor: China is fun to watch. Thank goodness the food challenge entrees haven't found their way into my favorite Chinese restaurant! Let's just give the money to the Gravedigger - he is the most entertainment I have had on Survivor since Rupert.  I can relate to the School Lunch Lady. Watching them divide into teams by schoolyard pick brings back semi-painful memories of my childhood and being the last one picked to be on a team.  Not really wanted, but had to choose me anyway.

Glad JR is gone - I found him to be gross and obnoxious.  Please Courtney, eat something I am worried about you. ...

Survivor is one of th best reality shows on tv.  I have watched all 14 years of it and enjoyed every season.. Season one was the best season, however, because you didn't know what the show was going to have on it.  Now. when you watch, you kind of know some of the twists and turns before they even happen.  I would sometimes like to see some of the young girls who are actually useless, taken out of the show early on because I enjoy watching the stronger individuals on the show..  I think that they actually are worth watching. They deserve to stay longer than the useless individuals.

I love the show Survivor.  The exciting locations, the people, the competitons.  It shows you placs that you probably would never visit and it shows you how people will do or say anything to win the game.  On the current show you even have a millionaire who doesn't need the money but thinks he can get people to do whatever he wants them to do.  It is a love/hate relationship but can be very exciting.  I highly recommend Survivor to anyone and you don't even have to like reality TV.

Survivor -

I began watching survivor around the 8th season.  It's my loss that it took so long to get involved in this show.  I love it.  There are new twists and turns to every season and the characters keep getting more sinister!  This season is no exception.  My favorite aspect of the show is the reward challenges.  I love to see the players indulge in a delicious meal after eating nothing for weeks.  By far, the best reality show on tv!

I know some people have probably have gotten tired of this show, but not me. Some of the things are the same, but i enjoy watching the scenery of the places where they go, learning cultures of those places.  It's like i'm on that journey with them. When i read a book, i place myself in that book, the people in the book become friends, i imagine myself with them.  I enjoy being entertained no matter what the genre...  Look forward to this new one coming up.

i haven't watched every season of survior and just when i thought i had see every back stabbing, connving trick in the book, along comes a person who not only thinks he is above reproach, he actually belives he is fooling everyone.  of course i mean coach.  he keeps preaching honesty, moral values and conviction.  all i've seen from the man is lying, people pleasing and dirty tricks.  all the great entertainment that makes up survior.

I love watching Survivor.  I have been watching it since the first season and try not to miss an episode.  I'd like to see a way that one stronger team doesn't vote out all the members of the opposite team when they merge cause that's not fair to be voted out just because you aren't with the majorities alliance.

But still, I'll watch it every week anyway even though I know who will get voted out next.

I am a huge huge huge survivor fan.  When they are making survivor 150 ..I will still be tuning in on thursday night to watch it.  You do have to realize that the best "survivor" will probally be kicked off in the beginning.  It all comes down to who is beatable...although I would love to see someone who has great integrity make it to the end.  It is still the best reality tv show around!
