I guess it's true when people say that you get what you pay for. I picked up the Surf laundry detergent on a whim in the Aloha Splash scent, because I was out of detergent and not only was this detergent inexpensive but it was also on sale. I got it for a real steal. The only positive thing I have to say about his detergent was that the scent was a pretty tropical scent, and it really did make my clothes smell nice. I was very unsatisfied with how much laundry detergent it took to even try to get my load of laundry clean. After using this detergent my clothes felt and looked very dull, faded, and rough to the touch. I also noticed some weird grease stains or left over laundry stains on my clothes, which were hard to get out. My colored clothes didn't look very bright. Overall this detergent made my newer clothes look old, and pretty much ruined them. I wouldn't recommend this even if you are on a budget, there on many other detergents out there that are cheap, and have much better cleaning power.

I give Surf Laundry Detergent a seven out of ten as a generous rating. I do not prefer this brand at all because to me it just seems like a watered down version of a quality detergent. This brand has barely any stain fighting abilities. It does not have a great scent that lasts for a long time. It pretty much just wears off once the clothes have cooled from the dryer. There is not a huge or really any variety of scents to choose from. I will admit it goes on sale often and is extremely cheap so almost anyone can afford a lot of it. There is nothing wrong with it persay, but it just does not do as good of a job as other brands of detergent. It also seems like it is sort of harsh on the clothing itself as it seems to have more harsh chemicals in it. I will not recommend this and stick with the other brands of detergent that I have always loved to use. It is worth a try, but not for me.

I've only used the powder sparkling ocean scent and it used to be my favorite detergent. The formula changed awhile ago and so now I no longer use it. Performance Performance average or slightly below average. Old formula left my clothes fresh, clean, and bright. This newer version sucks. Very disappointed! Scent I LOVE the scent of this detergent, but it no longer stays with the clean laundry. What happened? Now I use original Tide powder. I think someone who likes this scent would also like Tide(not too flowery or sweet).

I do not usually use Surf Laundry Detergent, but one day I decided to try it out because it was a decent price and I was tying to save money. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked. I found that after using it my clothes came out really clean and fresh. Some stains were left behind, but for the most part they came out. If I used a pretreatment on the stains first the detergent probably would have worked perfectly. My clothes smelled pretty good too. The scent wasn't as strong as I would have wanted it to be but I cannot complain either! I would recommend it to others because it works good and it is a decent price. Performance I think this detergent worked pretty well for what I needed it for. I wouldn't use it for really heavily soiled clothes like work clothes, but for everything else it worked just fine. Scent I think this left my clothes smelling good, the smell just faded too quick. It would be the perfect scent for things like towels.

I am all for finding economical detergents, but I also want a detergent that gets the job done and this one just didn't do it for me. The price is right. It is very cheap and at a much lower price point than any of the other laundry detergent, but you are getting what you pay for. First of all, I wasn't crazy about the scent. It just smells like detergent. I guess this could be good for some people, but I prefer something a little more flowery or fresh scented. Secondly, it didn't get my clothes very clean. I actually found myself washing some loads of laundry twice before it got them clean. Then I had to question just how economical this stuff really is. You have to use twice as much of it to get the job done. Not worth it, in my opinion. Save your money and get something that has more stain fighting power and a better smell. Performance Poor performance. I had to use twice as much of this as I did any of the other laundry detergents I have used. Scent the scent isn't nauseating, but it sure isn't wonderful. Just smells like detergent.

I like to use different laundry detergents. I like to use coupons and find bargains to help maintain our family budget. Plus when I use one kind of laundry soap for a long period of time, I get used to the scent. This makes it harder to smell. When I rotate between different brands and scents it eliminates this problem. I first tried Surf years ago when I was first starting out on my own. I have used it off and on throughout the years. The best part is that it is so affordable! If you are on a tight budget or trying to save extra cash, give Surf a try. Everyone's preferences are different but if it turns out you like it, you can save a lot of money. Performance I have never had a problem with Surf not cleaning my clothes. I think it works just fine. My clothes come out clean and I usually pretreat anything major with shout anyway. Scent I think Surf smells great. There are a couple different scents to choose from. It smells so fresh and clean.

I use it for stinky sports and work clothes. Performance Cleans most dirt but still need stain boosters. Scent It removes most odor when washing stinky work or gym clothes but it perfumes the clothes. My family has some allergy problems with this product. I only use it when there is an odor problem with the laundry and we can tolerate it. Several people get very congested if I use it all the time.

I prefer my Tide or Gain, but Surf isn't that bad. I love the smell...and it certainly leaves your clothes with the same refreshing and invigorating scent even days after they have been washed. The bottle is easy to hold and you can easily pour the right amount of detergent into the cup for proper measuring. The Surf liquid detergent I think that Surf offers deep down cleaning power and doesn't fade your clothes, something that is, of course very important. The Aloha SPlash is my favorite scent..it is islandy and really makes you feel happy inside. Mountain Fresh and several other scents are also available, however. My biggest complaint is the cost. Unless i find this on sale it is priced about the same as Tide...and nothing can compare to the cleaning power that Tide has to offer. I would never reach for Surf first. Scent The scent is the best thing Surf has to offer..there are several different selections available.

I can't give this product a good rating. It was not good at all. First of all, the detergent either in liquid or powder form just doesn't suds up like I want. It doesn't ever seem to get soapy even when I stick my hands in the wash and swish it around to make it suds up. Secondly, it doesn't get clothes clean. I have tried adding extra product and it just makes it harder to get clothes clean. The product just doesn't really work. It's not good on stains, dirt removal, or any type of soiling at all other than just worn clothes that are still nearly clean. If you use more of this, you end up with it sticking to your clothes. Finally, the scent smells great in the container but in the wash it fades away. When my clothes are done, there's no scent of the detergent on them. They end up just smelling like the dirty water. Pros--the price is cheap. Cons--everything about the product is mediocre at best. Performance It doesn't perform at all. My clothes didn't get clean and they didn't have a good smell. It also isn't good for sensitive skin. I didn't like it and I certainly wouldn't recommend it if you have babies or small children. Scent This smells good in the container but you use it in the wash, it doesn't absorb into your clothes and there's no trace left behind.
