On a Thursday night already packed with many good and popular shows, Supernatural rises above all of them to be the show I most look forward to. It follows the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean, as they help people deal with a wide assortment of demonic and mythical creatures. With nothing but their black '67 Impala, a trunk full of knives, guns, and other spirit fighting hardware, and their wits they are the best in a small but well-connected underground of "hunters".
The show's writers and directors have found just the right formula of action, mystery, suspense, and humor. If you want a small taste of the show's genius you need look no further than perhaps the best title ever given to any episode in tv history from season 4, "Criss Angel is a douche-bag".
The on-screen chemistry between Sam, played by Jared Padelecki, and Dean, played by Jensen Ackles, is flawless and highly entertaining, enough to make think they really could be brothers. The phrase "it's the best show you're not watching" gets used a lot in the tv world. But if you've never watched an episode of Supernatural then that phrase truly does apply here. So if you've grown bored with Grey's or CSI and want to try something different, this is the one you wanna try.
