Most HelpfulLet's get this out of the way: Superbad is not the funniest movie of all time, nor is it a complete bore. Instead, it's a highly hyped teenage comedy that falls short of the pantheon (it is certainly not this generation's Animal House), but is far better than some of the offerings of the last few years...
review »I have to be the first to admit that I like my comedy with edge holding nothing back leaving all bets off. Be it a dark comedy or one full vile humor that makes me laugh myself to pieces my taste in funny is limitless.
Growing up......who does not remember that trying and difficult time of wanting to fit in, find your way, and filling your life with good friends along the way.Produced by Judd Apatow and co-written by Seth Rogen--both of 40 Yr Old Virgin and Knocked Up fame--Superbad takes you to the coming of age antics of geeks Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera formally of Arrested...
review »Superbad is a typical teen movie- our heroes Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera) are nerdy best friends desperately trying to fit in and get laid in their last days of high school. The two decide the perfect way to prove themselves is to obtain alcohol for a party, especially to impress their respective love interests Jules (Emma Stone) and Becca (Martha MacIsaac). But when cops, party animals, bums, faltering friendship, preposterous fake ID's, car wrecks, and everything in between gets in the way, it leads to a simple, if daunting, errand becoming an escapade that gets more and...
review »If you are into crude comedies, then I highly recommend 'Superbad'!
This move is hilarious, and will keep you laughing throughout the whole movie. It's one of the best movies since 'The 40 Year Old Virgin'.
The only downfall is, towards the end the movie kind of "slows down", but it is still very funny!
I give it 5 stars!!
At first I thought it would be your typical, trying too hard coming of age story. Instead, it was hilarious, but the end had a point. It wasn't just stupid jokes with plot. I would not recommend this for anyone under 17. It has some very graphic scenes that aren't child appropriate.
Two high school geeks (Seth and Evan) are out looking to lose their virginity before college. They aren't popular, so they are ecstatic when Seth's (Jonah Hill) crushes invites them to a party. What he didn't realize was that Jules (Emma Stone) is expecting them to provide the alcohol for the party (Seth...
review »Superbad is a coming-of-age cautionary tale about two socially challenged teenage boys about to graduate high school. Theirs is a ridiculously dependent friendship-but now, they've gotten into different colleges and are forced to contemplate life apart. Evan (Michael Cera) is sweet, smart, and generally terrified. Seth (Jonah Hill) is foul-mouthed, volatile, and all-consumed with the opposite sex. This is the story of their misguided attempts to approach the objects of their affections in one panic-driven night...that awful, humiliating night you cherish for the rest of your life.
