Superbad Review

At first I thought it would be your typical, trying too hard coming of age story.  Instead, it was hilarious, but the end had a point.  It wasn't just stupid jokes with plot.  I would not recommend this for anyone under 17.  It has some very graphic scenes that aren't child appropriate. 

Two high school geeks (Seth and Evan) are out looking to lose their virginity before college.  They aren't popular, so they are ecstatic when Seth's (Jonah Hill) crushes invites them to a party.  What he didn't realize was that Jules (Emma Stone) is expecting them to provide the alcohol for the party (Seth made the mistake of saying he could get a fake ID). 

Their friend, Fogell (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) gets a fake ID that looks pretty good until they notice what name he picked:  McLovin.  Realizing that it might be harder to pull off than they thought, they are very nervous as the send him into the liquor store.  When Fogell is checking out, he is doing fine until a robber come in, punches him and takes off with the cash. 

When the cops show up, Seth and Evan freak out and start to run off.  Seth gets hit by a car (for the first time that night) and instead of suing the guy, the guy who hit him takes him to a party, promising lots of alcohol and chicks. 

What happens after that is just one crazy moment after another.. Fogell is hanging out with the cops, getting trashed.  Seth and Evan are trying to find a way to sneak booze out of the party.  They all end up running from the cops, who in the end know McLovin isn't really 21. 

A good story, with a sappy kind of ending, but it was worth the ride getting there!
