Intro
Today's life just gets too crazy sometimes. All anybody ever talks about is how busy they are. While a great ideal would be to hit the stores with the better sales every week, who really has time to do that? Most of us have a set hour or whatever to get the shopping done and that's it. I'm one of those shoppers who finds a favorite store and just goes to that one all the time, other than getting a few things here and there from the store that's closest to where I live. Every time a new store opens up, I end up trying it and switching allegiances, as new stores are just fun ... and clean (nothing beats a grand new sparkling shopping cart, with working wheels). But since the Super Target opened up near us, I haven't found the need to try the newer stores. I'm just too satisfied with this one.

Anything and Everything
And why shouldn't I be completely thrilled with Super Target? They have nearly everything and anything I would need. I don't have to go here to get groceries and over here to get some new socks, and over here to get the newest DVD out. I can do it all here. Of course, it's not the only superstore chain out there, but this certain ones seems to combine the best of both worlds for me. I used to visit Target and the grocery store nearly every week, and now I can just do it all here.

The Food Choices
Overall, I like their food choices here at Super Target. Their produce is simply one of the best of any of the stores around, but for that, you pay slightly more. The meat is good as well, but there isn't a meat department waiting there to make any custom cuts for you, and everyone always raves about the bakery here. The custom cakes can't be beat. As far as regular groceries, I can find just about anything I need or want here, with the same choices I would have anywhere else, including their own generic brand. Occasionally, I'll run into something that hey don't carry, but it's more of an odd case than a regular case. Recently, I found they only carry spreadable cheese at Christmas time, and I just don't get that one.

Non-Food Items
I can get just about anything else that I would want here at Super Target, meaning I don't have to go anywhere else. I can get office supplies, pharmaceuticals, items for the home, small appliances, automotive items, toys, electronics, clothing, and jewelry. I don't have much of a need to have to go somewhere else. I can get some extra bath towels or a new set of dishes, fancy or every day. I can get a new pair of shoes, athletic or for goin going out. I can get my son a pair of jeans and my daughter a new ballet leotard. I can get the kids a new bike as well as the latest DS game, CD, or movie. I can buy a new set of earrings for the outfit I'm going to be wearing that night.

The Downside
Of course the downside to the fact that they have anything and everything I'd want is that I end up wanting anything and everything. It's rare that I walk in there to get groceries and walk out only having bought groceries. There's always something I find that I should be getting, whether it be a new ink cartridge for the printer, a new coffee maker, socks and underwear for my son, or those earrings again that I want to wear that  night. The opposite applies as well, as if I go in there to buy the socks and underwear, I end up walking out with a few bags of grocery items as well. Yesterday I went in for cereal and milk, and ended up buying hot dogs, soup, carrots, dill dip, orange juice, onion bagels, paper towels, magnesium, socks, and travel size bottles of toiletries for our overnight in Milwaukee on New Year's Eve.

Conclusion

That downside ends up not being that bad for me, as I reason it out that I needed all those things anyway, which is true, but truthfully, I probably would have just taken full size bottles in my suitcase and could have made do with my socks, but I would have had to buy them in a week or so. For me it's an easy tradeoff, though, knowing that more than likely they will have whatever it is there that I need ... or am secretly desiring ... like those earrings.
