Quick View: if you wear a hearing aid, you know what havoc humidity and moisture cause. This product zaps the problem and lets you hear crystal clear in all conditions.

About Super Dri-Aid Hearing Aid Dehumidifier

Most of you will never have a need for this product and I am happy that you won't. But, those of you who wear hearing aids or know someone who does, also know that humidity can wreak havoc on hearing aids. I went to my audiologist several times because my right aid "quit working" only to find it was just damp inside from humidity. My doctor gave me a littleĀ packet of moisture beads similar to the ones you might find in a new coat pocket and that worked for a short time. I then bought two Super Dri-Aid Hearing Aid Dehumidifiers. These sound techie but all they are is round containers with screw lids that have a layer of moisture absorbing beads on the bottom and some thick foam covering those. You simply store your aid in the container if it has gotten moist or wet for whatever reason and, overnight, the moisture will be gone and the aid will be working perfectly. I keep my aidsĀ in these "dehumidifiers" every night and my aids haven't quit on me since. The beads are reusable. You can head them in a real oven or a microwave and they will change colors to show they are absorbing. When they turn blue, it's time to recharge them. This can be done hundreds of times. They are only $14.95 and worth every penny, especially if you live in a humid climate.

My Viewpoint

Hearing aids are crazy expensive and we need to take good care of them. We also want to be able to hear crisply all the time. To do that, they need to stay dry. A simple thing like this little storage container can extend the life of a hearing aid and can keep it working at the level it should. I use mine nightly and have not had any issues with moisture since. 5 stars for hearing the world all the time, even in humid weather!

Another great review. I have had my hearing aid for years, and recently it started shutting down. It seems to be moisture because it starts again after it dries out. I should look into this.

Leave it to you to find a product to solve the hearing aid problem. I am so glad you found something to keep them working.
