It's 50 years in the future and our sun is dying. It needs a jump-start, so we
send a small group of astronauts to do just that. A mind-fuk ensues.
Entertainment Weekly gave this movie an 'A'. I had never seen any movie rated
higher than an A- from them (except for 'Dark Ride', which they gave an A+), and they are usually pretty good about rating films. So, when they give a movie that I never heard of an A (that isn't a artsy movie that you have to read, rather than watch) then I have to give it a shot. The bottom line is that this is a really good film. An A, however, I think is a little high. But, I'm a little high right now as well and I have no idea what's going on. As our
little group of astronauts gets closer to the sun, they get a little high as well, and they have really no idea what the hell is happening either. Is there really suddenly an extra astronaut on the ship, or is it just my brain frying? If you can get your mind around the whole brain frying thing, you might enjoy this film. Personally, I would have rather seen them put an alien onboard the ship, plunging it's projectile fang system into the heads of the crew members. But, you can't have everything, so you get something else. And this film is really something else. I have to say I liked it. Maybe.
