My particular wheelchair is a sporty metallic blue and is lightweight and foldable. It weighs just around 30 pounds, and can be folded for transport in two quick steps. First, pull the padded cushion out, then grab the center of the seat and lift. If space is tight in your trunk, you can also remove the footrests to make it even more compact.
The frame of wheelchair is lightweight aluminum and can hold up to 250 pounds. The arm rests can swing back so that you can get closer to the table in a restaurant or have an easier time transferring from the wheelchair to another seat.
In addition to the standard features, there are several ways to customize and adjust the chair for your particular body type and needs. I needed a slimmer chair seat and height adjustments so that when I'm seated I am in a comfortable position. The leg rests properly position my thighs, calves, and feet. I opted for the extra-thick seat cushion, pneumatic rear wheels and the anti-tip levers for increased comfort and safety. To make travel even easier, there is also the quick-release rear axle that allows you to pop off the wheels and transport your wheelchair in even the tightest spaces.
I love my "wheelchariot"- it has held up well and it has saved my legs on countless occasions. This is a great mobility product manufactured by a leader in the industry. I prefer to use my Quickie Breezy when I'm just going to be in and out of my destination quickly and I don't want the time and hassle of loading and unloading the electric wheelchair.
This product really does make travel a breeze.
