When my toaster oven broke, I wanted to replace it with a convection oven because I heard that it cooked food faster. When I opened the package I was not very happy. It didn't look like it could possibly cook and how could it toast? But after I got used to it, I loved it. It's easy to keep clean, easy to use and it does cook faster. I am still trying to figure out just how fast though and I have overcooked an burned food, but I can use it in so many versatile ways and I can cook two things at one time. I even used it to dry herbs the other day (thaw setting). This has been one of the best purchases I have ever made and I enthusiastically recommend it.
