I have had this Sunbeam iron for quite awhile now, and although I don't iron very often, it's really been the only iron I've ever had since moving out of my parent's house when I was 19. It serves its purpose quite well and I have never had any reason to purchase a new one. It was very inexpensive when purchased, not top-of-the-line, but I since I don't iron every week, I don't need a deluxe iron. It heats up very fast, but the cord is a tiny bit shorter than I'd like. I don't know if all irons have cords similar in length, but I'd like it to be longer for safety reasons. That's not a deal-breaker, it still works perfectly fine the way it is. I fill the water area every so often to use the steam setting, and it seems to hold quite a bit. There are different settings for whatever type of fabric you are ironing. It's normal sized, comfortable to hold, and works well. If you are ironing something that is seriously wrinkled, you may need to spend a little time on it, but it takes me less than 5 minutes to press my dress pants if I need them to look sharp. So, if you are like me and just need an iron for light, occasional jobs, and don't need a long cord, then this is the iron for you!
