Sunbeam Rocket Grill Review Summary

If you like the idea of indoor grilling but hate the idea of cleaning up a greasy, messy grill, then the Sunbeam Rocket Grill may be just what you've been looking for. The concept is similar to the George Foreman Grill, but the Rocket Grill involves cooking foods in throw away parchment bags. Just cook per the included direction booklet and then toss out the dirty bag. Just that easy. Some reviewers noted product failure as an issue, but faulty units are replaced without problems. All in all, the Sunbeam Rocket Grill appeals to home cooks who like the idea of cooking with less fat but don't like having to clean up afterwards.

Found one of these on sale at Target one day and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be one of the best buys in a long time. It does a great job of cooking just about anything and the clean up is a breeze. Now we have mainly just used it to make cheeseburgers, but you can use it for other things... review »

When I first heard about this product, I was super excited. The claims: you can make dinner quickly with no clean up.  It is like a george foreman grill but on its side. You put your food into parchment bags and then the grill plates press together and cook the food. Easy and no mess.

 However, when...

The Sunbeam Rocket Grill is absolutely the best product I have purchased in years.  It does what it advertises - nothing misleading.  Food is cooked just the way you like it.  Clean up consists of taking the parchment bag out of the grill and walking to the trash can.  I use it mostly for cooking meat, and it does an excellent job.  You can use frozen or fresh - just change the setting.  We have cooked beef steak, pork steak (bone in), and chicken.  All of the meats have turned out juicy and flavorful.  There is no greasy taste because all of it is in the bottom of the parchment bag - the...

I've seen this items on infomercials and was rather skeptical. But just this past week I bought and used it and it is the easiet thing in the world to cook with! I have made chicken breasts, pork chops, hamburgers and steaks in it. You can grill fresh or frozen food in just minutes. Cleanup involves tossing out the parchment bag the food cooks in, that's it! The fat drains to the bottom of the bag and there are little channels that keep it away from the food. It comes with a little grilling guide so you have a handy reference to determine how long to cook fres/frozen and the varying thickness of... review »

The rocket grill is the fastest way I know of to cook raw or frozen meat and veggies.  Most of the cooking times are between 5 and 8 minutes.  The food is healthier because the grease drips to the bottom of the parchment bag.  If the speed isn't great enough, I've also noticed much less smell in the kitchen as opposed to using the oven or the stove, which is something I appreciate as I hate the smell of beef cooking.  I haven't even started using the recipe book, I've just been experimenting with different things and everything turns out great.  I've made sandwich melts, mixed vegetables,...
