Sunbeam's Personal Mosquito Repeller... kind of works.

Comments about Sunbeam Personal Mosquito Repeller:

Perhaps it may be the whiny sound that the little machine makes, or the fact that you didn't eat that sweet fruit may be why mosquitoes forgo your skin for their nightly meal. To be fair, you cannot count on this product as your sole repeller from the wrath of scratching a bite for the next week or so. I liked the product... until I discovered that mosquitoes made a quick meal out of my legs.

Some specs of this product:

- Comes in an assortment of colors (none of which helps in scaring mosquitoes away... are mosquitoes colorblind?) of blue, green, and gray.

- Has a little switch that turns on and of- When on, it makes a whiny high pitched noise that keeps mosquitoes at bay

- Takes one (1) AAA battery.

- Small and portable, features a little clip that you can attach to your clothes or keyfob.

- Pretty light, a few ounces of weight at most.

What I liked about this product was that it was light, and that the noise was pretty unnoticable. Other than that, I cannot seem to find another perk. While I understand that one cannot rely on this solely as a repeller, my understanding of this would be that I could be outside for a short amount of time and not be bit (or at least bitten a minimal amount of times). However, I tested this outside in my backyard with this product on, I came back in with a good amount where I was bitten 7 times within an hour. Again, while I understand I cannot rely on this solely, being bit 7 times in such a short time with a product that supposedly repels is pretty harsh. *However*, in the same setting, my husband was using one of these, and he was only bitten 2-3 times. I gave it three (3) stars because your mileage may vary with this product. Personally I did not find that it worked.

My conclusion on this product? It's a nice little product, but I think I'll stick with good old fashioned repeller spray. Being bit 7 times just makes me a bit disillusioned with this repeller. Your mileage may vary as mosquitoes may find the person using this next to you more suitable for their palettes.
