My very expensive iron had broken right in between pays ! so, off to kmart I go in search of an inexpensive iron that I'm already geared up to hate. I purchase the Sunbeam Steam Master iron for a decent price, but much less than I would normally spend.
I trudge off to home to finish what was left of my laundry. I'm skeptical and critical of every little thing about this iron, the way it feels, it's heaviness, the plate, etc.
But, what I found out is that it really does not drip- not in the least and that has taken a huge worry out of my ironing. It also works really well with someone who tends to forget what a pressing cloth was made for (me) because it isn't as quick to scorch the fabric. ( it still will, but it gives you leaway time to say, "oops" and pick up the pressing cloth.
It's heaviness is durability that can iron my husbands heaviest work pants- sometimes stretching the shrunken fabric back to the correct length.
I have put this iron to the test and (aside from the cord not always wanting to roll back in) I have become a loyal fan.
