The sunbeam mixmaster heritage series is a great mixer without having to spend alot of money. It has the same power of alot of the more expensive mixers such as Kitchen Aid without the price. It has more watts of power than some of the Kitchen Aid mixers i have seen for less the money than the other brand. You get power plus affordablility with this product. It has a setting to slide the bowl depending on large or small, many settings and speeds that are very easy to use. review »I have striped the gears on two - count them - two of these Heritage Mixmasters. The last time I was mixing a stiff buttercream. I'm sorry, but if a mixer can't handle buttercream then there's a problem! This mixer simply doesn't have the construction to last. Save yourself some grief and buy a Kitchenaid. That's what I'm going to do.
I love my sunbeam mixer! I bought it myself for Christmas about 2 years ago. I wanted one so badly but the other brands were TOO much money. I have been very pleased with my mixer. I don't use it a whole lot due to working all the time but when I do, I am reminded that I made a great purchase!

I purchased this model over one year ago. It is advertised as the all use stand mixed. Good for chores from light mixing to bread kneading. I purchased it primarily for bread kneading.
During the time since purchase, the mixer has performed wonderfully for most chores.
However, it is totally inadequate for bread kneading. The power needed for kneading is not there. After kneading for 4 minutes the motor becomes hot. The bowl attachment system is totally inadequate for kneading. The kneading action loosens the...
