Unfortunately, this mixer is didn't hold up well in my kitchen.

This mixer is truly only good for whipping up cake mixes. It can't withstand thick dough or batter and the engine sounds as if it is going to explode if you have to turn up the speed to get a little more power. Mixing Performance This mixer was quite the disappointment. It looks neat and promising when you first open it up but afterwards it's a let down. The mixing rods work great for cake batter if you're mixing a light cake and the whisks work well for making a meringue but when I tried using this on dough with the dough hooks, it sounded as if it were going to explode. I was whipping up some chocolate chip cookies and it just didn't have the power I needed to properly mix up the dough. I tried with gingerbread cookies too using molasses and I gave up and grabbed my old mixer out of the cabinet. Ease of Cleaning It's very easy to clean this machine. You simply discharge the beaters and wash them. Cleanup is simple. Ease of Use The mixing pieces come out easily and are easy to clean. It's easy to turn on and off and set the speed but the machine just lacks power. Design First of all, the mixing pieces do not fit in the bowl properly once you remove them. It's tedious to get it all back in place. Second of all, the lid didn't want to snap back on the mixing bowl even though I hadn't used extreme heat or cold. It should have maintained its shape. Finally, the motor and power of this machine is non existent. This machine just didn't hold up at all. Durability This machine doesn't have enough power to be durable. It is only really fit for cake mix at best. I couldn't whip up dough or cookies with it. I feel like it would probably give me trouble with a thick pudding. It did okay with cake mix and meringue but it was starting to get a little hard to whip up the meringue once it started to get stiff peaks. This mixer just doesn't have any oomph.

I loved that this mixer came with multiple attachments and the mixing bowl, but it is not built for making stiff doughs. For cookies, cakes, and brownies this is great. I tried to make bread-sticks with this machine and it burnt out my motor after I had had it for about a year. It also doesn't scrape the sides of the bowl very well. You have to be there in order to turn the bowl, if you let it work on its own it won't spin around and mix everything. I would not purchase this again if I was given the choice. I would rather save my money and buy a more expensive and more durable mixer.

Would Not Purchase

We received this mixer / bowl set for Christmas and at first glance, it seems like a great product. All of the attachments and the mixer fit neatly into a stainless steel mixing bowl for convenient storage. We were excited to use it for the first time and then... reality set in! The lid was stuck to the bowl and took two of us to pry it off! The mixer isn't very 'heavy duty' and I was starting to worry that I would burn it out mixing cookie dough! Placing all of the attachments back into the 'convenient' storage bowl after using it was a challenge. I honestly felt as if I were trying to do a jigsaw puzzle! We finally gave up and put the attachment in the bowl and decided to store the mixer on top of it. Putting the plastic lid back on the bowl was impossible, it seemed to be two sizes smaller the the bowl! I would not recommend that anyone spend money on this mixer.

After owning a Sunbeam Mixmaster Handmixer, which I can no longer find, I bought this, I thought it was great that it came with several attachments and a lidded mixing bowl. I first took it out of the box and it felt very light and seemed to be cheaply made. I used it for a cake mix and it worked fine, it just seems very low power and flimsy. While I am sure it is fine for mixing cake mixes and whipping cream, I don't think it will last long with regular use, I also have no idea why it comes with dough hooks as I believe the motor would burn out if you tried to use it for dough. Even cookie dough would be iffy with this product. In my opinion, save your money find something better made and with more power so it'll last longer and be worth your money.
