This was my first choice when looking for a mixer I could use to make bread dough. I soon discovered it was not powerful enough for my expectations. I won't say it can't mix dough for bread but when it came to kneading the machine labored like it was being over worked. For other mixing duties the machine had no problems. I ended up with a KitchenAid Pro Mixer which cost more money and it did bread dough better but for the cost difference I expected more from KitcheAid.

I have had several mixers over a period of a number of years but this Sunbeam Heritage Series has withstood all I put it through. I love to bake and bake quite a bit so my mixer really gets a workout. This mixer not only looks great ( I have a red one) it is quiet and powerful. I bought one for my Mother for Christmas this year and I know she will love it as much as I do. It is a great mixer and the price is reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone who bakes and needs a high quality mixer, beginner or advanced user. I love the colors that the mixer comes in. There is a color for everyone. Mixing Performance I like the way the bowls lock in and turn on their own and the bowl is off center so adding ingredients is easier and not as messy. I like the strong motor that it has because I feel like it does more work without having to strain when you have thicker stiffer batters to mix. I haven't used the dough hooks as much as the beaters but the times I have used them, I haven't had any problems. The beaters are just the right size for mixing all types of batter and mixing is always thorough. Ease of Cleaning Cleaning is always very simple. The bowls and beaters will go in the dishwasher. Cleaning the mixer itself is also easy. Just really all it needs is to be wiped off after every use and it will look great everytime you get it out to use. Ease of Use The mixer is very easy. You can read the different settings on the control knob. It has the different speeds for whatever you need. Light mixing, creaming, beating, kneading etc, it is all clearly marked for you. I like the tilt release button on the side of the stand, it is easy to press and is not in the way when you are mixing. Design I really like the design of the mixer. I like the metal body and it has non skid rubber feet that keeps the mixer stable during use. You don't ever have to worry about the mixer walking across the counter while you are using it. You can have your ingredients in the bowl and let it mix on its own and it will stay put. Also again I have to say that the different colors are great. Durability Very Durable. I use my Sunbeam Heritage Series mixer almost every day for something and it still looks brand new and works as good as it did the first time I used it. I think the quality of the mixer is outstanding and works as good as it looks.

   I got this for Christmas 2 years ago. I love it. It is efficent in blending everything well. I use it for everything now. It is easy to control the speed and the bowl placement. Mine also has metal bowls so when making pastries the butter stays cold and that is a plus! I use to use hand held models, but now I am sticking with my Mix Master. It is a BIG help on the holidays.

This is the second Sunbeam Mixer I have owned. The first one broke in a move. I love the feature that the bowls will "lock" onto the tray and turn with the beaters when it is mixing. I also love the bowl select feature. You can move the tray for either a large or small bowl. The whisk beaters and dough hooks are also a great feature to have with this mixer. I have used all sets of beaters many times. This machine mixes dough very well. I've made cookies and pasteries many times with it also and it mixes everything with ease. Also, this mixer is actually very quiet. Even when the speed is set higher it's not that loud. It is very easy to take the beaters out and to clean up the machine after you use it also. The bottom tray comes off for ease of cleaning. Makes it nice to get out any food that might have gotten stuck underneith it. I love that the bowls and the beaters are also dishwasher safe. For the price of the machine it was a great purchase. For those of us who can't afford KitchenAid mixers this is a great alternative!

Attending Michael's Cake Class I needed a mixer for class. Not having money to purchase a mixer someone offered me one.  Small stand/hand mixer. The mixer didn't last long.  mixing buttercream icing from scratch requires a heavy duty mixer. The motor burned out. So my family got together and I purchased the Sunbeam Mixmaster Heritage Series Mixer in Black. It was purchased in Wal-Mart. The price was great and so was the insurance for it. The mixer has 12 speeds. The metal bowl is huge and you can purchase different sizes for it. It is slick looking and I keep it on my counter cause I love its look.  I have had it since July and I have used it almost every-week to make cakes for my customers. I am very happy with this mixer especially when you check the price of other, this one does the job for a lot less. I recommend this mixer to any one who does a lot of baking because it stands up to its name.

i found the mixer to be a great in the kitchen. It blends well and exceeded all my wildest expectation. i really like the various speeds. I make alot of homemade deserts like puddings which need to be blended well the mixer nailed it. When making sweet potattoe pies all i had to do was put the ingredients in the bowl and turn to the speed i wanted. if you are busy like i am you'll love it. when it comes to making dozens of cuocakes for the church bake  sell i was ready. i am the first instead of last to volunteer now. it make clean up a breeze all the parts break down and reassemble effortlless. i love making merrigue for pies now no more problem trying to get egg whites fluffy this makes it a breeze.

Sunbeam is the ultimate in mixers! My mother before me lived by Subeam products and I never lived in a household that didn't have a Sunbeam mixer sitting on the counter top ready for use at a moments notice. Whether it was to mix cake batter, blend dry ingredients for bread or punch the dough before rising the Sunbeam was always there to stir life up. And as the Sumbeams before, this machine is no exception to the family legacy I grew into. I have used this machine for many a baking project and time after time it comes through. It has two bowl sizes that snap into place for mixing, three different mixing styles and 12 speed settings making any king of mixing a snap. The machine is easy to use with its tilt top and pop out mixers and the outside is easily cleaned with a wet sponge too! As much as open couterspace is all the rage right now, I can't help but leave this machine on my counter...ready for daily use!
