As two thirty year olds living in our first house in the incredibly expensive state of New Jersey, my boyfriend and I try to save money where we can.  Our heat billing is on the "budget" system ($110 a month all year long) but we'd still like to lower that expense.  We put in a programmable thermostat...

I bought this Sunbeam twin electric blanket in Walmart for just under $30. Great price and I figured it was a name brand and worth a try. The blanket worked great for two months and then quit. Really, it was so warm I didn't have to use more than the low setting. When it wouldn't warm up, I was shocked... review »

The Sunbeam Electric blanket is well constructed, light weight, heats very evenly, and allows you to turn the heat down at night so that you are saving on the electric bill.  After trying several blankets, Sunbeam seems to get the job done more effectively than the others.  The controls are easy to read and have enough setting to keep anyone warm at night.  Always remember, that you never use a mattress warmer with an electric blanket.

Winter here in Montana has started out bitterly, and with energy costs as high as they are, we decided on an old fashioned electric blanket.  The Sunbeam Heated Blanket is soft and warms quickly.  It's barely noticeable under the flat sheet, and has allowed us to turn the thermostat down at night.  The price seemed a little high, but was found during a wonderful sale at fifty percent off.

The Sunbeam Electric Blanket is very affordable. Two years ago I bought three of them for my boys. They used them all winter long and loved them though I had no personal opinion of them since I hadn't used them. Then one of my guys joined the Marines and was gone so I just had an extra one.  Well, last winter I got cold one night so I put it on my bed. Though my bed was a double and the Sunbeam Electric Blanket was a twin I put it on my bed in between the sheet and the larger velour blanket which was a double size. It kept the bed so cozy and warm that I kept it on all winter and used it that...

Sunbeam Electric Blanket - twin size

I have tried other blankets. This electric blanket is nice. My fiance keeps the house so cold at night that it feels like winter all year round. That may sound nice to those who live in the south, but it gets old after a while. Anyway, I was in the store and found this blanket on sale. Well, I decided to try it out and see. At the very least if it did not work well as an electric blanket, I could use it as a regular blanket. No harm, no foul. Well the first time I used it, I was amazed. Imagine a heating pad for your whole body. It was nice. I don't even need...

I bought this from Walmart many years ago and I took it out for this winter again. Surprising, it is still working and still very warm. It is perfect for sitting on the couch and watching TV. You do not need to turn on the heat. YOu can save a lot of money by using the blanket instead of having to turn the thermostat on.

The blanket is also machine washable. I was afraid to do this the first year but then I decided to do it. It worked. My suggestion is to use a duvet cover and stick the blanket in there. That way you do not have to wash as frequently. One complaint I do have is that the built in...

This blanket was amazing when it worked.  It would warm me up and keep me nice and toasty all night and I really do miss it.  I would turn it on about 10 minutes before I would get into bed and by the time I was in it was all ready for me.  I absolutely loved it.  I had tried other blankets too and this one seemed to be what I needed.  I liked the dial and how it turned on compared to other blankets that I had in the past.  This blanket only lasted me about a year however and was a huge dissapointment.  It just randomly broke one day and I dont beleive it was by anything that I did to it. ...

This blanket is great! it keeps you warm all the time the only problem i can see with this is that it takes quite a while for it to heat up but onces its all said and done its most definatley worth the money. Also you barley feel the wires al throughout it. I think its very durable and just all around a good blanket . Mines red and matches the room perfectly. Theres many other colors tan blue  and more. Its better then any dumb snuggie that cant do the job this will. The snuggies vary thn and un comfortable but for this its vary thick and soft!!

I have been thinking about purchasing a new electric blanket now that winter is on its way. After careful research and speaking with friends and relatives I decided on the Sunbeam Twin Size Electric Blanket. Sunbeam has always meant quality and satisfaction to me and my new blanket continues that trend. It is soft and comfortatble and worthy of the Sunbeam name. I consider it to be an excellent purchase.
