Sunbeam Bread Machine 5891  —

I do not recommend this Sunbeam Bread Machine. It is very cheaply made and not durable at all. The lid is extrememly flimsy.

It does not always bake the bread properly. I tried baking several different loaves in mine and none of them came out right. Every single loaf deflated. I followed the recipes exactly the way they were in the cookbook that came with the bread machine. I also tried other recipes I found online. None of the loaves came out. They did not completely cook in the middle either.

This bread machine is cheaper than other models, but it also isn't a high quality. You really get what you pay for. I thought perhaps I had a "dud" bread maker so I exchanged it. The new machine (same model) still did not work. I was very disappointed.

However, this bread machine is easy to use. It does the basic bread making. You can choose different size loaves and use it to mix dough. I still would not recommend this model to anyone.

I recently purchased a Cooks breadmaker from JCPenny. I absolutely love it! I've tried a few recipes from the book that comes with it and they always come out great!

Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only one having those exact problems with it! The crusts on mine get way too dark and hard (even on the light setting), and the loaf always deflates, even with new yeast! I absolutely HATE IT. I also have a 2-paddle horizontal loaf Breadman machine that I got used on EBay, and it worked okay for awhile, but now it doesn't want to mix. I don't know what to get next, but the Sunbeam I have is JUNK JUNK JUNK!
