While getting ready for a party, I realized that I didn't have a blender. I ran down to the closest store where I purchased the Sunbeam 6-Speed Blender. I got it home and started working with it and thought it was wonderful. After a few days, I needed to use it again. While using it this time, I noticed that it wasn't blending as well as before. I finished what I was blending and cleaned up the blender. While cleaning, I noticed that the blades had gotten bent and one looked like it was close to breaking completely off. I just trashed the blender. I feel as this was a waste of money. The blender is cheaply made and is a hassle to keep in usable condition. The blender was hard to thoroughly clean and required lots of work to get underneath the blades clean. I most definitely would not recommend this blender to anyone. This particular blender was the worst that I had ever owned. It was nothing but trouble for me.

We used this blender specifically for making home-made baby food for our children. It was able to cut through and puree any type of vegetable and fruit that we put in it. We could make a really smooth puree when they were younger, as well as something chunkier as they got older. It was much better priced than products specifc to baby food making. We are happy with our choice. Ease of Cleaning Not all of the parts were dishwasher safe.

If you are looking for a hard working easy to operate blender Sunbeam's six speed blender would be a great choice. I've owned this blender for over 5 years and it has handled all kinds of jobs from making smoothies to grinding nuts and ice. I love appliances that are simple to use and simple to clean and Sunbeam's blender lives up to those expectations. At one point my daughter had jaw surgery and was opn a blended diet for weeks. This blender came to the recue and held up to fixing all kinds of blended meals and drinks three or more times a day. Really the only con I can think of is that it is a bit noisey, but I don't ever remember any blender being especially quiet. Sunbeam products are always value priced and really are more than you pay for.

I have had my Sunbeam five speed blender for several years and have loved every minute of it! This blender has went from making smoothies for the kids, protein drinks for my husband, to margaritas for me and my friends! I love the different settings on this blender, as each one works well with your specified need. I have never had any problems with the lid flying off mid-blend either, which is key when you have kids. They went through a milkshake phase for a while, which can be a potential disaster if the lid to the blender comes off in the middle of thhe cycle. But like a champ, the lid has never come off, and our drinks have always come out blended and well mixed.  In addition, clean up is simple. You can wipe down the unit itself with a damp spone, and the pitcher and lid come apart and fit easily into the dishwasher. This is a simple blender that does a very good job for the money.  Would recommend!
