Sunbeam 5891 Bread Maker Reviews

I love using this breadmaker! I have used several different brands in the past, but this is my favorite. I received this as a present, so I am not sure how it compares to other similar products cost-wise. This machine has a jam function which I am very eager to try. I love making bread from scratch, but with a job and other chores/cleaning to do, it is sometimes difficult. The bread is not in the traditional loaf shape (though you do have the option for it to only knead and rise the bread once, then take it out, let it rise again, and bake it in the oven), but definitely has the fresh bread taste...

Nothing beats the taste or smell of freshly baked French bread.  That's what I thought I'd be getting every day when I bought a bread machine.  I've since found out that you have to follow the recipes to the letter and use the exact ingredients.  It's not like regular cooking where you can substitute something  (within reason) and have success.  If you don't follow directions precisely, you'll end up with a foul tasting hard lump of dough.

In saying that, it's not a flaw of the bread maker.  The machine is easy to use and the timings on the screen seem to be accurate.  The only downside...
