I have been using Sun and Earth Detergent for a long time now. I remember when they first introduced it on the market and we got a lot of tiny little bottles to try out. It was a decent detergent then, but I think it is even a bit nicer now. It is simple and cleans decently and is worth the effort to obtain if you can get it at a low enough price. Performance Although this does not clean quite as well as Biokleen does, I have to say for the nice price point, this is a decent detergent. Clothes are left clean and fresh, but not quite as soft as I would like in some cases. The clothes seem to wash out well but this works best in warm water and not quite as nicely in cold. One thing to remember when using this detergent is less is more, especially if you have a front loading machine. If you use too much, it will suds up too much and not rinse out as well. All in all, Sun and Earth Free and Clear is a good detergent and I would recommend it. It is not quite as nice as Biokleeen for cleaning, especially in cold water, and it is not quite as nice as Fab when I want fresh clothes, but it does the job decently and is worth using. When this was first introduced, it was promoted as being natural, but the ingredients showed it was pretty high in sodium lauryl sulfate and a few other chemicals, but not quite as many as say, Tide is. Scent There really is not a scent to this product, so I would guess that it would not be a good or bad scent. No scent is better than a terrible one though, so I rate this very good.

So this detergent is usually the least expensive.  .Of course I just had to try it.  There are many idfferent scents to choose from and they all smell alright.  I chose one and took it home.  When I tried it the first time I was pleasantly suprised that it clean my clothes very well.  It got set in stains out with just putting a little extra detergent directly on the stain. It also bubbles well, which really doesn't have anything to do with the cleaning power but I like bubbles.  The only thing I did not like was that when the washer filled up with water to rinse it bubbled as much as it did when it went through the wash cycle.  To compensate for this I simply use less of the detergent when I wash which also makes the bottle last longer.  I think overall Sun Laundry detergent is a great bargain for the price.  But is you have small children that have very stained clothes (grass stains, etc.) you will need to put ths detegent directly on the stain to get it out.

Honestly I only bought this brand because with a coupon it was really cheap.  I have to use Free and Clear laundry detergent because the smells and dyes in other detergents bother my skin and nose.  I was really surprised when it worked better than my usual brand.  My clothes seemed cleaner with less residue then other Free and Clear products.  The other scents that are available are very strong so I wouldn't use them even if it was free.  So far I haven't seen seen excessive wear to my clothes.  It is not 'made' for High Efficiancy washers but I just use less than the recommended amount and that works fine for my HE washer.  It would be nice if it was 3x concentrated rather than 2x, who wants a bigger bottle to hold more water?  I will be looking out for this, on sale, with a coupon, of course.  Not sure if I would pay full price for this but that is because I wouldn't pay full price for any laundry detergent.
