My husband looked at many types of tree stands and has always purchased ladder tree stands in the past. When we moved and sort of forgot about taking his 4-5 tree stands with us (he would have had to go back and get them taking a whole day just to take them down and travel time because they were located in many different areas). He spoke w/ a friend who said that he had a Viper Climbing tree stand. We did some research on the internet and found the Viper brand to be the best value for your money. Keep in mind, you sometimes need to pay for quality! This has one of the best safety ratings out there....

My hunting buddys have been using this stand for 2 years now and are very happy with it.I just bought one this year after using one of thiers..I find that the stand grips to the tree very well and does not slip like some of them do.It is well construsted and built strong.The seat that they have is very comfortabe and esay on your bottom.I did find the stand to be alittle on the heavy side and had to make stops in wood to rest while caring it.The price of the stand was a fare price.I would recommend this stand to anyone who likes to hunt

The summit Viper Ss Climbing Tree stand is great for just about all hunters. This specific stand offers several beneficial characteristics. It is camoflauge which will allows you to blend in with the the natural surroundings. The seat is also cushioned that will provide comfort. The summit viper ss has a movable bar that will allow you to rest your gun or bow on it or help secure you while standing up.
