My husband and I previously purchased several Safety First baby video monitors but after one year, they always stopped working.  We finally got tired of buying the same one so we venture out & got a Summer infant video monitor.  I am so happy that we did.  We've had ours for 2 years now and we love it.  The only thing that has happened to this product was the power wire going into the monitor stopped working.  We believe it to be our fault and not a malfunction of the product.  I tried to buy the wire online at the company's webiste but was not able to.  I contacted the company's customer...

The summer infant Video Monitor is a great baby monitor.  When my son was born I bought a regular monitor and after a year it went out.  I decided to go ahead and get the video monitor because it would help me keep a much needed eye on my baby when he is sleeping.  This monitor has a small screen, but you can see everything.  I first bought a cheaper brand (by 10 dollars) and it didn't work great at all, I couldn't even make out where my baby was in the bed.  I would highly recommend this monitor to any one who is looking to make a purchase of a baby monitor anytime in the future.  The hand...

Bought the Summer Infant Video Monitor (black and white) when we found out that my Daughter would be staying with us while her husband is deployed and would have our new Granddaughter while there.  One of the first thngs we bought for the house was the monitord (we have a bigger house and cannot hear from one end to the other).  We absolutely love it.  Being able to mount it or just carry around the camera and receiver is a big help with switching back and forth with who is watching the baby.  Even though it only has 2 channels, we can almost always find a pretty good one to listen for her...

I would recommend a video monitor for anyone with children 5 and under.  We still use ours faithfully every night and our son is 4 and daughter is 2.  You don't jump out of bed with every little sound you just look into the monitor and see that everyone is ok.  I would also recommend this product for those you have elderly parents and worry about them at night or any time during the day.
