I first bought just a regular set of monitors when my son was born, but saw this monitor on sale and thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did.  I don't know how I would survive without the video now, as it lets me see what is happening in the crib.  Sometimes my son will give a little cry in his sleep, but then rolls over and he's fine.  The video lets me see if he's awake, sitting up or settling back down or if he's standing up wanting to get out.  He often wakes in the morning and doesn't make a sound for several minutes before he wants to get out, so seeing that he's awake before I can...

The Summer baby monitor is wonderful.  This is a must for any mother who wants to keep watch on her child.  My daughter is now 2 years old and we still use this monitor everyday.  We now have it hanging on her wall so we can see her when she is in her room playing.  She was just 5 lb 4 oz when she was born and I was very worried about her when she slept.  I ordered this monitor from Babies R Us two days after we brought her home.  We have used the monitor everyday and everynight since we received it.  If it quit working I would order a new one the same day.  The screen is black and white...

I recieved the "Summer Infant baby's quiet sounds monitor" at my baby shower from hostess'. Awesome present. I wasn't convinced I needed a baby monitor since my sons bedroom is right next to ours, but it has helped greatly. You know those times you wake up in middle of night to baby noises and don't know if their still asleep or or if their actually awake. It saves on alot of trips back and forth to check on them. It also helps when your working around the house because you can move the monitor TV to different rooms as you work so you can get your housework done with worries about the little one....

This monitor has a problem with the on off volume switch. It sometimes gets interference and the volume is extremely loud and the volume can not be adjusted lower. I had to turn it on and off several times which fixes it. Also I have found when I want to move it from room to room I unplug it without turning it off first. Using the on off switch as little as possible. Although I have had a problem with this monitor it has some good benefits too. It has night vision. we got a summer infant video monitor in anticipation of the arrival of our third child.  oddly, now that she's here, we're using the monitor to keep an eye on her 4 and 2 year old siblings who share a room (and frequently rebel against bedtime).  its been fantastic.  might not be the clearest picture in the world but its enough for us to see their shenanigans and bust them for it !!
