I love this monitor - had it for my first baby, although it only lasted a year before it broke (plugged into overloaded circuit).  I just bought another for my second baby - the screen is a nice relatively big size - better than the small handheld screens.  The tv-like monitor obviously can't fit into your pocket, but it is lightweight enough to move from room to room.  I definitely recommend this monitor for peace of mind - visual and auditory.
