What can you not do, with Sugru?
Sugru is extremely versatile, there really is no limit to what you can do with it. Sugru makes everyday objects even easier to use. I had read about it and recently purchased a package of 12 packets of Sugru. The typical size of a Sugru packet is about 2 1/2". The actual size is probably around 2" long by 1" wide and about a quarter of an inch thick. Sugru is used as a "hacking" object where you can use it to modify an object that already exists and make it better. On their website they have many examples. For instance, I used it last night to repair a hook, which the curved part broke off. With Sugru, I picked off a bit of it, molded it into the shape that I had wanted (a hook) and then I placed it on the broken piece and let it cure. Once you let the piece of Sugru cure, it will turn into a hard piece of flexible silicone. The creators of Sugru claim that it can withstand a temperature range from -60°C to + 180°C. I haven't put it through temperatures of that nature yet, but so far I'm satisfied with the product. The only gripe I have with it, is that it has a 6 month shelf life. To prolong use, I followed their instructions and kept it in the fridge. When I finally used it, I just allowed the packet to get to room temperature, and then got to hacking.
