I bought my sugar glider because I had heard how loyal they become. Because they are small and therefor eshould be easy to take care of. Mine on the other hand hated me. When I would try to play with it it would bite at me and jump away and run and hide. All night long it would cry and nothing would sooth it. It was not the cute lovable little pet I thought it was going to be.

sugar gliders are by no means "easy" pets. They are quite high mantainence, and, until they have bonded will pretty much bite you all the time. Some dont, but most do. Don't be discouraged, they are very loyal and loving, you just have to give it time. There isnt a set time on how long it takes to bond; it could take months or years. You just have to keep your chin up! : )
oh, and a tip for ya; when your glider bites- DONT punish it ( they dont understand it at all)and they will jsut associate you with negative effects. DONT pull away. your glider will learn that biting you gets rid of you/ affects you and will do it everytime hes is displeased or doesnt want you to touch him.
