Studio by JCPenney Home Collection
Nowadays, 100% cotton sheets with a higher thread count still need to be ironed to get rid of stubborn wrinkles. I hate ironing, so I'm always on the lookout for wrinkle-free sheet sets. The Studio Sheet Set is available in seven colors (Stillwater Blue, Mocha, Cool White, Honey Blonde, Dusty Moss, Eggplant, Coal Black, and Tibetan Red) and have a respectable 350-thread count. The sheets fit up to an 18" thick mattress and the bottom sheet is elasticized all around to keep them secure on the bed.
I bought a couple of the $100 sheet sets on sale for $59 each (which is a good thing because the frugal shopper in me wouldn't dream of spending a hundred bucks on one sheet set) Anyway, after an initial washing and drying, the sheets came out of the dryer feeling soft, smooth, and slightly silken to the touch. I noticed that there were some wrinkles, so I would describe these more as wrinkle-resistant rather than wrinkle-free.
The sheets fit securely over my mattress and 2-inch foam pad with no problems. The fabric doesn't have as much body as my old sheets, so it took a night or two to get used to the more silken feel. However, the sheets didn't shift much through the course of the night. They were comfortable and the colors are rich and attractive.
Overall, I do recommend the Studio by JC Penney Home Collection 350-TC Wrinkle Free Sheet Set. I don't think they're worth paying full price for because they aren't totally wrinkle-free. However, if you can get them on sale like I did, they do make a nice addition to your collection of bedroom linens.
