Monday through Thursday - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday - 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Description:
Where do I begin...??!!!! This place is phenomenal!!!! It is SO much more than a museum. Actually it is exactly what it is...a museum of play! It is a wonderful place where families can go and actually PLAY with their kids! There are several different rooms, each with different areas of themes..some of the themes include: science, nature, wizards, prehistoric, space, old western, flowers, insects, and birds...etc. There are climbing structures, games, computers, a post office, a mini Wegmans, book nooks with beanbag chairs, an aircraft, a Sesame Street set, crafts around every corner, a Butterfly Garden (costs an extra $3.00), a T.V. studio, a real mini train to take a ride on...the list just goes on and on. There is an actual toy museum upstairs too. There is nothing that the kids cannot touch or try out. You just let them go nuts for hours, and I have not yet spotted one adult there that is not doing everything and having fun too! There is TONS of staff on hand to help, ask questions, and to clean up after you. it is just awesome!!!!
My Viewpoint:
If you have kids, and are going to be anywhere near the upstate New York area, you really should take the time to visit. It is an experience like no other. I give The Strong National Museum of Play 5 stars. I would give it more if I could!
