Stouffer's Lean Cuisine Chicken Florentine Lasagna —

The Stouffer's Lean Cuisine Chicken Florentine Lasagna looks very appetizing from the box.  You see layers of lasagna filled with chicken, veggies and a creamy white sauce.  Unfortunately what you get is nothing like the picture.

My first bite was delicious, I got a bite of almost everything and it was very flavorful.  After my first bite, I noticed that all of the filling that is supposed to be layered between the lasagna noodles was all on top of the lasagna.  So each time I took a bite, I got a mouthful of three lasagna noodles all pressed together.  Pasta stuck together doesn't taste very good, but the filling that was on top of the lasagna did taste delicious, however displaced it might have been.

The filling is comprised of a creamy white sauce, chicken, spinach, shredded carrot, red bell peppers and sliced mushrooms.  It was really tasty and I was definitely impressed with the flavor of this entree, but not with the construction of the lasagna.  To fix this, I just cut up the whole lasagna into bite-size pieces so that I could get all the flavors in each bite, and then it was delicious.

The Scoop!

Although the eating of this dish was not as it should have been, the most important thing is that it tasted good, so yes, I would buy this entree again.

Make me some mac & cheese with traditional elbow noodles and you'll be good to go!

I think the only pastas I eat are spaghetti, preferably angel hair, elbow noodles (mac & cheese) and the tiny shells that come with Velveeta's mac & cheese. I don't like the feel of Lasagna noodles, rotini, ravioli, etc. Oh, sometimes I will eat the spiral noodles in a pasta salad. I want pasta that is really soft. If I can feel the ribbing, curly edges, etc. I won't like them.

Do you dislike pasta in general, or just lasagna noodles? They all have a similar texture, chew and feel in the mouth except lasagna has a curly edge.

The ingredients sound decent but I can't stand Lasagna noodles. Remember my weird thing with the way things feel?
