Stouffer's Corner Bistro Pepperoni & Provolone Stromboli is easy to prepare in the microwave in three minutes and it has a nice seasoned crusty bread that is not soggy or limp thanks to the special microwave crisper. True to the package it does have a bakery fresh taste.                                       I also found the filling to be quite delicious; "thick cut pepperoni with aged provolone cheese and chunky tomato sauce in an Italian-style crust." It isn't the healthiest combination in the world and I found the tomato sauce to be a bit sweet but I do have to say it is one of the best frozen items I have ever tried. I didn't have to "doctor it" like most frozen and canned items I buy and the instructions and microwave time were right on the mark. The downside: If you are eating healthy or on a diet I would only eat this product occasionally as a treat or share half with someone else. One package (one Stromboli) has a whopping 430 calories and 46% sodium, that's 1110mg or half a day's allotment of sodium!  Yikes!  It is also not surprisingly high in fat: (17 grams) with 7grams of it being saturated fat. There are no trans fats but one Stromboli is also high in dietary cholesterol at 50mg. Forty five grams of carbohydrates, five grams of fiber, 4 grams of sugar, 24 grams of protein, 6% vitamin A, 35% vitamin C,  25% calcium and 15% iron round out this delicious but gut busting frozen bakery item. I love Stouffer's items and I find their products taste much better than most frozen items on the market, especially when I am in the mood to splurge and I don't want to cook. I do absolutely recommend this product because it is delicious, especially for a packaged frozen version of Stromboli; just beware of the fat, sodium and calories if you are watching your diet.
