The Stokke Kinderzeat is the thing I am most pleased to have bought for my daughter. We have owned it for a year and used it several times each day, and I only like it better all the time

This great looing chair has a spare Scandinavian design. Because there are a variety of finishes, everyone should be able to find one that matches their dining room set. Cleaning the chair is very easy because there are only a few joints and the pieces fit flush. The cushion is sold separately, but I decided as long as I was blowing two hundred dollars I might as well shell out thirty more for the cushion. The cushion is excellent for a child's chair because it fastens so securely to the seat and doesn't shift around when the child moves. It attaches to the chair by slipping a pocket over the bottom of the seat and fastening it to the back with velcro, so there are no knots to tie and removal for washing is quite painless. I've laundered it probably three hundred times, and it still looks great. Although paying extra for the cushion to such an expensive chair feels like adding insult to injury, now that I have it, I consider it the icing on the cake.

The chair requires assembly, but I was able to handle it on my own with the very clear directions, the included allen wrench, and a minimum of swearing. Adjusting the chair is also a piece of cake.

My daughter definitely loves her Kinderzeat. She climbs into it herself when she is hungry, and buckles her own straps when asked. Sometimes, under my supervision, she pushes the chair up to the kitchen sink, fills it with water, and plays at washing dishes. Almost every day she sits in it to draw at the kitchen table. She is clearly much more comfortable in this chair than she was in a high chair, because her feet have a place to rest. She doesn't fidget as much and stays content longer during meals.

Other than the 200 dollar price tag, there are a few drawbacks. One is that the chair can be used as a ladder. It is important to watch your child and train her not to push the chair all over the house to get into things. Another is that your child is sitting a little higher in this seat than they would in a normal chair, and falls can be a little more serious. Don't forget to buckle the strap when using the chair with a child who can't be entirely counted on not to fall off.

I hat the stokke babyseat!!!!
My baby is in the 50 % height and 50 % weight range and it is a nightmare to get him out of this seat. You have to pull him out from behind and make sure that his legs ar straight...otherwise be prepared for the tears. What a shame. For this money you are better off buying a different chair.
