Their is one on every corner. Ok well maybe not every but it sure seems that way. they are like landmarks here in the albany and surrounding area. When you get directions from someone you can always count on them saying go to the stewarts on such a such corner take a left continue tothe next stewarts take a right and so on. they have the best ice cream all home made. and all of their dairy products are from local farmers. their award winning chili, creamy macaroni and cheese, savory soups and other crockpot favorites, created just for their own Shops. Stewart's Shops is an employee- and family-owned business with over 300 convenience shops in Upstate New York and Vermont. Based in Saratoga Springs, NY, the company was founded in 1945 when the Dake family purchased a dairy and ice cream shop from Donald Stewart of Ballston Spa. Today Stewart's Shops can be found in over 30 counties within a 150 mile radius of Saratoga. From Plattsburgh to Newburgh, Watertown to Rutland, the company maintains its small-town feel. You get to know most if not all of the employees at the shops that you frequent. and can always count on excellent customer service. The store clerks will soon be calling you by your first name and you of them. Not to mention that Stewart's milk was rated #1 in New York State again by Cornell University Department of Food Science, with a score of 100%.
Would also like to add that they have the best tasting coffee that I have ever had. always a fresh pot no matter what time of day or if it is 10 min till closing
