I guess this type of pan has been around for awhile all the way from the home-maid ones to the one like this that I received as a gift last Christmas. I have to admit I kind of put it aside but when I ran on to it this week decided I would give it a try. The name of this one say it is a Steven Raichlen Beer Can Chicken Roaster. It comes with directions but I did my own thing. I did pre-spray the pan and added the bear to the line that it showed. But to make sure I didn't end up with a mess in the oven, I put some foil on a rimmed cookie sheet pan and set the chicken roaster in that. I used a cooking therm. to see that the chicken was cooked. The instructions were right. This chicken turned out so moist and delicious. Chicken is not covered and I was afraid it would dry out. Not to fear and it was a beautiful golden brown. This was fun, easy, and I will use this pan often. This would be a great way to cook chicken to make a nice cool chicken salad for a hot summer day. The pan was easy to clean up and overall I would give this pan/and cooking method a A+.
