State Farm — 

State farm, at least in my town, seems to be very friendly and helpful.  They were not the cheapest in town, but they were close.  There mixture of helpfulness and low prices is what made me use them for my auto insurance.  I am a beginner driver, with there being another beginner driver using the car too, and it was $95 a month for a '94 chevy cavalier.  Other companies wanted between $150-$200.
