State Farm is probably one of the best insurance companies, by a long-shot.  A cousin worked for the company.  The rates were reasonable, the policies fair, and when push came to shove there were right there (no play on words intended).  When that same relative was diagnosed with cancer after retirement, they were there for her all the way.   There was no fighting as to what they would and would not pay for, no switching her to a "risky" customer", which is great in comparison to other Insurance Companies.  They remained true to their contract, and the courtesy of customer care was compassionate for the need.  I'd give them a thumb's up.
