State Farm Review

With all fairness to State Farm I guess I can say that they are no better and no worse than other insurance companies out there.  I have had State Farm insurance for the last twenty years.  When Katrina came and took my home (wind damaged everything collapsed from the roof enclosing) I obviously contacted my agent and waited 3 months for an adjuster (as everyone else did) and was told my fire was through State Farm but not my hurricane insurance.  The agent made an error when I purchased it some years prior and put it through the MS Windpool.  Needless to say that gave me another 3 months to wait for an adjuster from the Windpool.  Now the mistake has been corrected and all is through State Farm.  I am not the suing kind, but was mad as heck about the error and delay to get started in rebuilding.  I also has an uninsured driver hit me last year and State Farm did nothing to try and get this person to pay for the damages nor my deductable that I had to pay for.  Thank goodness I am a fairly good investigator and found out the girl's husband was at the airforce base and phoned his commanding officer every week for 3 months until the military nailed him down to give me my deductable back.  That was ridiculeous.
