This company overcharges for their insurance--would you agree?

appreciative of good service, tried State Farm - boo hiss, down to earth, safe driver with a good record, on a budget, safe driver, comparison shopper, Multi car/driver household

I have tried State Farm's insurance.  They are way overpriced for what you get.  The agent's are out there only to make a dime for themself & want you to purchase additional insurance that is NOT needed.  State Farm has this motto they use called a "Family Insurance Checkup".  This is where the agent goes over your insurance to see if what you have for coverage is sufficient, go over your policy to see that you understand your policy that you carry, or if you need to purchase additional insurance with them in multiple lines.  As we were with State Farm for over 10 years, NEVER once were we called to do the Family Insurance Checkup.  This is something the agent is supposed to do face to face not by email, phone calls, or letters in the mail.  I was very dissapointed that we were never called to go over the insurance we carried with them.  The agent we had was a very reputable agent in our area too.  After shopping around with over companies I found State Farm being WAY overpriced on all their policies (auto, homeowners, & life).  We immediately switched to another company & are very satisfied.  I would suggest to you to really shop around on your insurance.  It doesn't hurt to shop & have another company give you a rate quote.  We saved a ton of money & the service we receive is way better than that of State Farm.

I had gotten quotes from 6 different insurance companies to see if I could get a lower rate than Sate farm and not one of them could come close as far as what I needed insured.

You must have a very poor Agent then because I have been with them for over thirty (30) years and I will always stay with them for Car Insurance.

I'm so glad you wrote up a review. I had a very sad experience with State Farm. That "like a good neighbor" thing is not so true.
