State Farm Review

My agent must love me.  In the 25 + years I've been with him, I've filed two claims.  Once during a snow storm my wipers were freezing up.  So I pulled off the highway onto a straight exit ramp, made my way to the shoulder of the road, put on my emergency 4 way blinkers and proceeded to clean off my windshield with a scraper from the outside of the car.  BAM!  Some idiot rear-ended my parked car!  I was tossed back into a snow bank - but uninjured.  The police were jammed up with accidents; so we swapped info & went on our individual ways.

Get this...the other guy's insurance claimed I was stopped in the middle of the road (exit ramp).  My agent immediately went to work comparing my clean record to the other guy, who had multiple accidents & tickets.  My agent & State Farm would not back down and the other company settled.  I believe this happened back in the late '80's or early '90's. (C.R.S. strikes again!)

The second incident was a rock from a north bound dump truck falling into the windshield of my south bound car.  We were out of town on vacation too.  The damage was not sufficient enough to stop immediately.  We proceeded to our destination, got in touch with State Farm & the windshield was replaced the next day.  Simple!

Every year, as I grow older, with no tickets & no wrecks, my rates go down.  You think I'd switch to Geico now?  I don't think so.
