State Farm Review

I never thought I'd say this about an insurance company, but State Farm has my back.   :-o

When we got a substantial recent increase in our PITI mortgage payment, I called State Farm to see how much of it was insurance (following two years of hurricanes in Florida).  

I was told that indeed our homeowners policy had nearly tripled, but that an agent at the local office realized we qualified for a particular discount which was offered.  She applied for the discount without even telling us.   We then received a $1000 refund check in the mail, and now our mortgage book is being re-generated to reflect the new, lower rate.  

I remain impressed by this, and while I don't know if State Farm is insuring any more new homes in Florida, I would certainly recommend my local branch (Ann Clark in Fort Myers, FL). 

Bottom Line:  LIBBY LIKES IT.
