Starbucks Via Brew Instant Coffee
when I heard starbucks was holding a "taste challenge" I figured it would be to showcase their new line of coffee. not realizing that it was for their line of instant coffee and getting a free cup of coffee just for particpating, which my dad really liked. the challenge was simple: drink both samples then guess which one is the via, reguardless the particpants get a coupon for a dollar off the via packets and a coupon for a tall coffee. after tasting both samples I made my guess, between Y and X I guessed Y and my dad guess X. Of course he guessed correctly, afterwards we used of coupons for a free coffeeand my father was rather disapointed because he was under the impression that a tall was a large cup. it's free so what does it matter? while waiting in line I thought I would check the price of the via ready brew. it's $2.95 for a three pack and $9.95 for a pack of twelve, which is a little pricey for me.
a day later I decided to use my coupon for a dollar off on a three pack of via brew. I can't remember which flavor I purchased but I do remember how flavorful and easy it is to carry with me. the flavor of via compaired to another instant coffee (taster's choice) is 100 times better and it doesn't make my stomach upset. it's hard to shake the powder from the packet, plus there isn't many options when it comes to flavor. aside from the cons I rather like the flavor and being able to carry it with me in my purse of even my pant pocket.
next I am planning to do a taste test where someone will be able to taste both the via and the taster's choice and let them see which they like the best.
if you are a avid coffee drinker and don't mind paying for instand coffee than starbucks ready brew is for you.
