Comments about Starbucks Roma Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich:
One of my guilty secrets is that I am a real carnivore -- an enthusiastic meat-eater from way back -- but it didn't take a ton of bricks falling on me to show me that a diet which overdoes consumption of meat could be almost as devastating as ... well ... a ton of bricks falling on me! So without becoming a vegetarian, I have begun to hunt for delicious meatless options and recently staggered upon the ***Starbucks Roma Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich*.**
**WHAT THIS IS:**
The ***Starbucks Roma Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich ***is yet another entry into the famous coffee vendor's rally of healthier things to eat and is a masterful concoction of thinly sliced Roma tomatoes and Mozzarella cheese, topped with fresh spinach and slathered along with basil pesto sauce between two halves of a piccolo roll.
One ***Starbucks Roma Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich ***is a single serving which contains 380 calories with 160 calories from fat. There are 18 grams Total Fat, 7 grams Saturated Fat, zero Trans Fat, 45 mg. Cholesterol, 580 mg. Sodium, 40 grams Total Carbs, 2 grams Dietary Fiber, less than one gram Sugars, and 16 grams Protein (along with 25% (D.V.) Vitamin A, 20% Calcium, Vitamin C 10%, and 15% Iron.
The ***Starbucks Roma Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich ***is good just as it is but for a real taste experience, heat it up at home or ask somebody at the Starbucks shop to do it for you.
Speaking as an enthusiastic carnivore, I must admit that I enjoyed the ***Starbucks Roma Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich*** very much. Yes, I realize that we are again faced with the issue of high sodium which seems to be common to many Starbucks foods (in fact, restaurant and coffeehouse menu selections in general) but ***Starbucks Roma Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich*** is really a meal in itself, guaranteed to satisfy even a carnivore for hours. The great protein, vitamins, and minerals available in this lovely snack almost makes the 25% (D.V.) of Sodium worthwhile now and then.
