My Favorite Starbucks Blend

5

I am a big fan of bold coffee, and Starbucks Caffe Verona is just that! Whenever I order coffee at Starbucks, or buy a bag for home, I always ask for Verona. It is smooth and rich, without the harsh bitterness of some of the other blends. Some of the best coffee out there!

I think I'm in love!

I've had a Keurig brewer for almost a year now and I have been experimenting with different brands and flavors of coffee for almost a year. I wanted to be able to make coffee at home that tastes, (for the most part) like a Cafe Mocha from Starbucks. I have finally found what I've been looking for! The "Dark Cocoa & Roasty Sweet" statement on the bag describes it perfectly. I add Coffee Mate Creamy Chocolate powdered creamer and viola! Heaven in a coffee mug!

Caffe Verona is the best bold coffee there is

Starbucks Caffe Verona blend coffee has the most amazing flavor! It is rich, bold and flavorful; however, not so bold that it tastes like dirt, if you know what I mean. I have had it in store via french press, but there is nothing like brining it home and making a pot in your kitchen. The amazing aroma is sweet, yet very dark and alluring, if coffee can be alluring. I am not much of a Starbucks coffee drinker, but someone recommended this flavor to me and I fell in love with it! I drink my coffee with cream and sugar, but this coffee has such a mellow flavor that I can drink it black. Thank goodness, because that helps me on my diet! Not only is the flavor good, but Starbucks takes such good care of their presentation and preservation of their coffees that when you bring it home and open the bag you know you are getting something fresh and within date. Thank you Starbucks for creating this extremely wonderful coffee!

Well as I stated in  my last coffee review. I love coffee very much. I have my own coffee blog, and have tried many many brands over the past year or two. I have really opened up my palette so to speak and have enjoyed many great new flavors. I love espresso and strong coffee , not just flavored. That being said, I really did not like this coffee at all. I tried it my French press and just really did not like the flavors not one bit. Thought I would have to put either a lot of milk, or sugar in it. Mind you , I never really use sugar ever in my coffee. I don't know. I would recommend it to try for yourself. This is a matter of preference. I can't just say a coffee is horrible because you could love it. But for me, I just hated it. I am still going to try it a few more times and tweak the recipe, maybe as espresso, or in my Keurig it would taste better. Who knows, maybe the French press made the flavors different. Because how you brew the coffee is just as important as how you drink the coffee. And, I just really hate to waste coffee lol, So if you are brave and dare to try.. then do your thing, but for this coffee diva I'm going with thumbs down. Sorry Starbucks !

Smooth, Rich, Delicious

I worked at Starbucks Coffee in high school and part of college.  As an employee you'd get a weekly "mark out" which could be a box of tea, box of chai or a pound of coffee.  I almost always got Verona, especially if I was going to bring it to a friends' house or give it as a gift.  Verona has a really lovely rich body that is smooth, not bitter.  I taste undertones of cocoa and a bit of berry.  It's a really great dark roast coffee, one of my favorites that Starbucks puts it.  It doesn't have the acidity of some of the Latin American coffees, and it isn't earthy like a Sumatra.  I would definitely recommend it to coffee drinkers who just want a tasty, full-bodied cup of coffee without a lot of bitter bite to it.  I prefer it hot, but it's also very good iced.  Just make sure if you get it ground at the store, that it's ground for the appropriate filter.  That way you'll really get the nuances.  I prefer it French-pressed myself.

Very nice without the traditional Starbucks bitterness

I picked up a cup of Cafe Verona today at Starbucks and was very pleased with it.  A little bit of half and half and I had an excellent cup of coffee.   I regularly grind and brew Peets - Major Dickasons Blend at home, but was out.  This is a very nice substitute when your on the run.

Caffe Verona - If you like dark roasts, you'll enjoy this!

I just tried Caffe Verona for the first time (courtesy of BzzAgent, who I am "testing" this product for) and I personally can't share much of the excitement about it. I am not too big of a fan of dark roasts but if that is what you like, I think you'll enjoy this coffee. It definitely has a bold and strong flavor. I like it with milk or creamer but I can't drink it black, it's just a bit too strong for that in my personal opinion.

Verona is the perfect comfort-coffee

Cutting back on Starbuck's has been a 3-4 year journey that started when I graduated from college and sicovered that Starbuck's had single-handedly (ok maybe it just contributed) altered my caloric intake and my budget... outtake? Basically, grande white chocolate mochas made me fat and poor, and I needed to make a change. I've moved from those frou-frou drinks to drip at home, and caffe Verona makes it all worthwhile. I need a rich, dark roast, and Verona fits the bill perfectly.I'm the only coffee drinker in the house, so I buy a half-pound (pre-ground) at a time and store in my BeanVac, and it stays fresh-tasting until it's out.

The best dark roast out there

I absolutely love Caffe Verona from Starbucks. Not over the top strong, but definitely strong enough for those that like their coffee dark.  I love it regular or decaf. A true cup of coffee to savor to the last drop.

Starbucks Caffee Versona is one of my favorite coffees. It has a full creamy and sweet flavor. The fragrance, as it brews is incites an aromatic, delightful and provoking expectation. The versatile, complex blend of Asia Pacific, Latin America with a touch of Italian coffees is intriguing and tasty. It's my first choice whenever I'm at the Starbucks store. Caffee Verona is satisfying from the time I grind it, as it brews and then the reward that is anticipated throughout the experience is complete.
